Life will not stop simply because you turned 60. In order to make the most out of life, you should take care of your health. One way to do so is to develop a healthy diet.

One of the factors that should be considered when a woman turns sixty is her calcium needs. Bone density tends to brittle on this age. To address this, you should resort to foods that give calcium like milk, almonds, cheese and more. It is also advisable to take food supplement in order to sustain you in your every day activities.

Do not skip breakfast. This is the first meal of the day. This is the meal that would sustain you in your days work. If you will be getting any carbohydrate in your system, this is the best meal to take. However, take it moderately.

Take fruits on a daily basis. Fruits are equally delicious and nutritious. Banana, apple, orange and more could sustain your body for your energy that you need every day.

However, pair your fruits with vegetables. Leafy vegetables are ideal. If you want meat, avoid fatty meat. You can go to either lean meat or breast chicken.

Combine these foods so that your meal will come in variety. This way, you will not feel your meal is bland and boring. On the contrary, these foods taste great.

Further, avoid processed food, fatty food, gravy, cornflakes, salt and chips. Try herbal tea instead of consistent coffee intake.

Watch your weight. Do not allow yourself to be overweight. It is not healthy especially for people who are over 60. Take your foods moderately. Focus on healthy foods. Maintaining a healthy diet can give you the chance to live your life to the fullest. After all, being healthy is being happy as well.
